Forget the Democratic National Convention. This morning's really big story?
The President fell off his bicycle. Again. Sources indicate chewing gum may have been a factor.
Said Bush spokesperson Clare Buchan, "During an 18-mile ride, as bikers often do, the president took a minor spill and scraped his knee.'
Right. If the biker is a 6-years old rushing home late for dinner and fearing the loss of his allowance.
Read all about it here: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=615&e=16&u=/nm/bush_bike_dc
Also note the reference to the President’s earlier bicycle mishap, attributed to loose ground soil due to rain. The estimated rainfall in Crawford, Texas that week? Less than a tenth of an inch. Alright, it’s a lie on par with Al Gore inspiring Love Story, but I think postings on “WDR” should strive to be “Fair and Balanced.”
In other news, is Ben Affleck campaigning to become the Kerry family’s Billy Carter/Roger Clinton/Neil Bush? It just might be, as he coos at the Kerry daughters in this month’s Vanity Fair. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/story/216214p-186121c.html
Note to Ben: You thought J-Lo’s mom was tough? Try going one-on-one with Teresa Heinz Kerry. I’ve got THK by TKO in the first round.
Keep up the good work, Todd. If I ever decide to spend my summer vacation in Boston (if every hotel room in Cleveland is booked) I now know where to dine.
Funny how the previous comment neglected to mention Kerry's own bicycle mishap. Read all about it here:

Of course, Bush fell while off-roading on a mountain bike ... while Kerry was on pavement when he went a** over teakettle. Wonder what Kerry's excuse was: perhaps a pothole?
Then again, the previous comment also neglected to mention how Kerry fell while snowboarding a while back ... he got up, said "I don't fall", blamed the whole thing on a "Son of a B*tch" Secret Service Agent and took off down the slope ... only to fall an additional FIVE times.
