ACT: America Coming Together

Kos of www.dailykos.com says this about ACT:

America Coming Together is easily the most important 527 of the cycle, and may very well hold the future of the party in its hands. Predicated entirely on grassroots organizing, voter registration and turnout, ACT has been active in battleground states since November 2003, eight months before any Kerry (obviously) or party organization (surprisingly) was on the ground. Armed with palm pilots, the army of ACT workers and volunteers are building a voter database that rivals the much heralded Demzilla database built by the DNC.

Now they, in association with MoveOn.org, have organized an epic mini-concert tour called the Vote For Change Tour that will be traveling throughout battleground states from Florida to Ohio during October 1-10. The artists participating in the concerts include Pearl Jam, REM, Bruce Springsteen, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and The Dixie Chicks. More info, including the tour schedule can be found here:

Tickets go on sale on August 21.
